Education: Shaping the Next Generation

At Yad Vashem, education is a transformative tool that goes beyond teaching history—it instills values, challenges preconceptions, and inspires action. Through our comprehensive educational programs, we aim to provide a profound understanding of the Holocaust, fostering empathy, responsibility, and a commitment to combat antisemitism and all forms of hatred.

Yad Vashem’s International Institute for Holocaust Education, the only institution of its kind, offers a broad range of programs for students, educators, and security personnel from around the world. We train thousands of teachers each year, equipping them with innovative pedagogical tools to teach the Holocaust in their respective countries.

Our programs also include seminars for the Israeli Defense forces (IDF) and Israeli police , designed to underscore the moral and ethical implications of their roles. Additionally, Yad Vashem hosts specialized workshops, conferences, and immersive learning experiences—both in-person and online—reaching hundreds of thousands annually. Through these efforts, we ensure that the memory and lessons of the Holocaust are passed on to future generations, shaping a more just and compassionate society.
